Today we enjoy an included excursion to the charming medieval city of Bruges. Bruges boasts quite a unique magic at this time of year, with its stunning buildings including the Gothic clock, town halls and medieval belfry, that dominate the beautifully illuminated and festive garland-filled main square. You will have free time to explore the Christmas Markets, which are magnificently brought to life, offering an assortment of handmade gifts, decorations, and food, including a tempting array of Belgian chocolates made especially for Christmas.
Today we travel into Antwerp on our optional excursion. Famous for being the diamond capital of the world and one of the fashion cities of Europe, Antwerp is both stylish and confident. You will have time at leisure to explore the charming narrow streets, spacious squares and elegant boutiques which ensure Antwerp remain typically Flemish in character.

Would have had 5 stars for a wonderful holiday, however, the last leg of the journey on the feeder coach from stop 24 to the NEC was very uncomfortable. We left stop 24 at around 2.30pm and yes the traffic was heavy being a Friday and was told we would have a break once we had cleared the North Circular. However, it was nearing 6.30 pm (Warwick Services) before we actually stopped for 15 minutes - many people on the coach were complaining and the majority being elderly- this is not acceptable! The Highway Code recommends that drivers and riders take a break every 2 hours (hse.gov.uk). Please address this Shearings so it does not happen again!

Very organised trip with coach swapping done very efficiently to your required destination. Our couriers/drivers Lynn and Rob were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel, Le Bois de Bruge we stayed in was of a very high standard and to be honest couldn't fault anything. The only criticism is that we paid 20 euros each for a trip to Antwerp on the 29th November and on arrival we were told the Christmas Market wasn't on until the 8th December, so we spent 5 hours wandering around run of the mill shops. No refund was offered. However, generally a very enjoyable all round trip.
