Enjoy a potter around the Cotswolds as we take in some of its prettiest villages. Moreton-in-Marsh is our first stop – a thriving market town whose High Street is lined with elegant 17th and 18th century buildings.
We continue to Stow-on-the-Wold, the highest of the Cotswolds' towns – historically an important trading centre where the quaint Market Sqaure is flanked by town houses, independent shops, antique centres and cosy cafés.
Enjoy a day at leisure on Christmas Day. Unwrap your presents and the enjoy a traditional Christmas lunch with all the trimmings. There is time for the Kings Speech and light buffet in the evening to end the day,
Our ramble around the Cotswolds continues as we visit Cirencester, the 'Capital of the Cotswolds' and a lovely market town with fascinating history.
Later in the day we call at Burford, with its famous High Street that sweeps downhill towards the River Windrush, its three-arched medieval bridge and its impressive church, both sides of the street flanked by an unbroken line of ancient houses and shops.
Return home.
