Excursion to the beautiful, medieval city of Salisbury, where there is an abundance of historic buildings to explore, including the majestic cathedral, which boasts Britain's tallest spire, standing at a breathtaking 123 metres.
In the historic streets you'll find independent retailers as well as your favourite stores, the weekly Charter Market fills the marketplace with hustle and bustle and there are many great places to enjoy a bite to eat!
This morning we visit Winchester - England's ancient capital city. Home of good food and the country's largest farmer's market, birthplace of the modern game of cricket and the resting place of Jane Austen - Winchester is truly a destination for all seasons!
Later we return to Littlecote, where the remainder of the day will be at leisure so you can relax at the hotel and enjoy Warner’s fabulous activities, such as tennis or air-rifle shooting*.
We head to the interesting university city of Oxford, home to honey-coloured colleges and its many famous spires, giving it the affectionate nickname ‘City of Dreaming Spires’. The medieval metropolis revolves around the prestigious university, which dates all the way back to the 12th century.
Whether you’re a fan of literature and learning, or pubs and restaurants, Oxford is a delight to explore.

Built in the mid-1500s, this magnificent Grade I-listed Tudor manor has a fascinating past, having played host to Romans, a Tudor tryst, and even a Civil War army. Henry VIII courted Jane Seymour in the Great Hall at Littlecote House, and the airborne landings on D-Day were planned in the library, which served as the headquarters of the US 101st Army during World War II. Stunning architecture features throughout, most notably the famous Orpheus mosaic floor, while the hotel’s grounds are equally beautiful, with 34 hectares of historic parkland and landscaped gardens. We decided to skip the Shearings included excursions and paid for one which was provide by the hotel. In spite of poor weather we had a great time.

A brilliant holiday everything was spot on , the journey, the accommodation and the food was very good . The gardens with the Roman relics were amazing too. Would certainly recommend this holiday with Shearings

Lovely house/gardens.' Signature Room ' disappointing. Very hard beds/pillows and poor view from window blocked by large table and chairs. Food not up to standard expected.
