The holiday and hotel were very good.My main complaint was the standard of food provided by the hotel. We were a table of 6 people and on at least 3 occasions we were unable to eat what was presented. In particular the Lasagne and Pasta dishes were so dried up we could not cut them with a knife and fork and the way it was put on the plates reminded me of school dinners. My second complaint was regards the driver, Jonathan his name was and he drove a Blands coach. He was very arrogant to the point where at times he completley ignored us. This was the first time that i did not give a tip as i didt think he deserved it.

The break was very good, once we got there, but the transfer journey to the pick up point was too long and went in a strange direction going south, then west, then a long way North to the transfer point. It took 5 hours when from our home it would be about 2 1/2 hours to the transfer point. Then as we were west of our home on the east it took over 4 hours to Whitby from the transfer point. From our home direct to Whitby would have been less than half the time it took. I understand the transfer coach will stop to pick up but whoever designed this transfer point joirney didn’t appear to have any sense of direction or the relationship in distance from one pick up point to the next, nor was traffic congestion in the towns we visited considered. Our Coach driver must have been driving over his allowed time as we stopped at the last stop before his final stop as he couldn’t drive legally anymore. Luckily he stopped at our drop off, the people going to the final stop about 20 miles north had to arrange for family to collect them. Not good enough.
